Days = |Date₁ − Date₂|. The calculator takes the absolute difference in milliseconds between the two dates and converts to days (÷ 86,400,000). The result is rounded up to the next full day.
Worked example
January 1, 2024 to January 15, 2024 is 14 days or 2 weeks. January 1 to December 31 of the same year (non-leap) is 364 days, or 52 weeks.

Inclusive vs exclusive counting
This calculator counts the number of days between dates (exclusive). If you need inclusive counting (including both start and end dates), add 1 to the result. Example: Monday to Friday is 4 days between, but 5 days inclusive.
